I had been designing and managing the production of the SLHD HealthMatters newsletter for about six months before I started my secondment there, but with my new role as Manager Corporate Communications, I now contributed articles to it as well.
The magazine is usually 16 pages long (with a bumper issue at Christmas) and is published every second month. This was one of my favourite parts of the role – I would be happy writing, editing and designing a magazine as a job as it uses both my graphic design, production and writing skills. Although working on campaigns and branding is a lot of fun too.
