A major part of my role at SLHD was promoting the great programs, activities and events held throughout the district by writing stories for publication on the organisation’s website, Facebook page and the bi-monthly internal newsletter. The Communications team aimed to produce three stories a week for online publication, as well as writing stories for the 16 page newsletter. Pointers to these stories were posted to the Facebook page, along with small stories only a few paragraphs in length and photographs.

If the story was thought to be of interest to a broad local audience we submitted stories to the local media outlets. Below are a few stories I wrote that were published by the local newspapers.
